Testimonials

Nancy started with us the same day that our son came home from the hospital.

We had the usual "first-time parents nervousness" but we were especially nervous since our son had been born early and small and had been in the NICU.

Having Nancy here to help us was *just* what we needed, I don't know how we would have survived those first few months without her!

Nancy and our son developed an instant bond, and having her here was like having a member of the family helping take care of our baby. Nancy was also very helpful in teaching us the basic skills that we didn't learn in the baby classes or from the hospital, like how to bathe our baby and how to give him medicine when he needed it.

We had initially planned on having Nancy stay with us for about one month, but we found her help so invaluable to us that we kept extending and extending her time here because we couldn't bear to have her leave--we ended up having her stay with us for over 3 months!

Our son was up every 2 hours or so at night during that time to eat, and without Nancy here during those critical critical first few months we wouldn't have been able to get *any* sleep.

Having Nancy here at nights during that time helped us be better parents because we weren't zombies during the day!

Nancy's skill at soothing our son when he seemed inconsolable was amazing, and her breadth of knowledge about babies was invaluable to us clueless new parents.

I couldn't recommend Nancy higher as a post-partum doula or for any time of position caring for a baby!

My wife and I hired Nancy Starting about 6 weeks after our first baby was born. We didn't really know what we were doing, we were definitely not getting any sleep, and we were very worried about entrusting our baby son to a stranger. But Nancy was amazing. She made us feel comfortable and not only took care of our (difficult) son at night to let us sleep, but cleaned around our house and taught us incredibly useful tricks for getting our baby calm and sleeping. She is a miracle worker! Hiring anyone seemed like a difficult decision at the time - but hiring her was a ridiculously smart decision. I highly recommend anyone with a newborn do the same.

“Nancy was incredibly professional and nurturing. With a new baby at home 6 ½ years after our first child my wife and I were looking for someone to help us through the trying first weeks of having baby girl home. We interviewed several candidates and after an extensive search process we made the right choice hiring Nancy. We would recommend her to anyone without hesitation.”

Nancy was such a pleasure to work with.  Her love for babies truly showed in every aspect of her work.  She worked for us as our night nurse for 3 months right after our baby girl was born, 5-7 nights a week.  Without her my husband and I would have never had anytime for ourselves, it was such a nice treat to have someone we trusted allow us a few hours to relax.  She would take care of everything that had to do with the baby, she even offered great massages and extensive knowledge on so many things I was going though being a new mom and struggling with breastfeeding.  I still stay in contact with her, our daughter is 11 months old now.  She has been available to me whenever I have a question and is always happy to help.  When I was sleep training our daughter I frequently texted nancy with little questions here and there, I was lucky to have her guidance. I highly recommend her to anyone needing doula or night nurse services, with her knowledge and love for her job you can't go wrong.  Im happy to speak to anyone directly, if you have more questions about her you can contact Nancy for my information.

When I had my first son I went through a very difficult time and severe postpartum depression. Since I was breast feeding I refused to take any medication even though the doctor said only a little of the medication would go in my milk supply. I was not going to risk the health of my child taking chemically made medications. When I found out I was pregnant for a second time my joy was overshadowed by the fear of going through the extreme highs and lows of postpartum depression or “baby blues”. My husband and I began looking for the most natural way of helping

with the baby blues. We began to read many article and testimonial of the benefits of consuming your placenta; to be honest I could not master up the courage to eat my placenta raw or cooked like some of the woman’s articles I was reading. We came across Nancy Rodriguez, the services she offers and the organic way she does her encapsulations, and after much research we decided to go with her. She is an extremely professional person, kind and very helpful. Once I delivered my son she came that morning to the hospital to pick up my placenta. She went

through the procedure that was going to take place and how long it would take to get my capsules. Once I received my placenta pills I began to take them as instructed on her notes. With a healthy diet and taking the pills till they were finished I felt GREAT! The fears I once had with suffering the baby blues were completely gone within two weeks after taking my pills. I had so much energy, I did not feel weak, or down or even sad. I was able to still keeping being the mom I am to my first son and have plenty of energy for my newborn. Nancy would call and check up on me to make sure I was doing well. Throughout this whole process she was there if I ever needed anything. Five months after giving birth I still feel great and I am glad I choose to do the encapsulation of my placenta, but mostly I am happy I chose Nancy because she was the best. I would and will recommend Nancy to all of my girlfriends who are pregnant or will become pregnant, because no mom should feel the baby blues. Nancy has been the greatest help through this process and if I have another child I will definitely be giving her a call.

This letter is to recommend Nancy Rodriguez as a newborn care specialist. I highly recommend Nancy as a newborn care specialist without reservation. Nancy is a consummate professional who is incredibly competent and caring. She is meticulous, prompt, communicative, responsible, compassionate and extremely knowledgeable. What sets Nancy apart is not only her professionalism, but also how easy she is to be around.

Our Daughter was 4 weeks old when we hired her and it was the best decision we had made. What's best about Nancy is that she loves our daughter. I never felt worried or guilty leaving her in charge.  She knew just what to do and what was best for my daughter.  She did everything with a smile and seemed to enjoy every minute of her job.

I cannot recommend Nancy highly enough.  She will take care of your child/children with the utmost care and provide amazing support for you and your family. In short, any family in need of a newborn specialist will be lucky to have her.

I can’t say enough good things about Nancy. I would definitely recommend her without any hesitation. The simplest thing I can say is that I trust Nancy with my baby – and of course, that means I trust her entirely. If I have another baby, I hope we’ll get to work with her again as our night nurse.  Nancy worked with us for several months as a night nurse about 6 days a week when our son was a newborn. He was a preemie, so we had some very particular instructions about his feeding schedule and Nancy followed all instructions perfectly.

Nancy is detail oriented, attentive, responsible, and 100% reliable. She’s never late – she’s usually early in fact – and typically stays late. She gives her all to her work and is so professional. Everything will be in order on Nancy’s watch – bottles cleaned, baby laundry done, kitchen spotless, nursery in perfect order.

All of that is great and makes Nancy a pleasure to work with. But the magic of Nancy – and the part you really care about when you are trusting your baby with her – is that Nancy will treat your baby with all the love, care, and attention you could wish. She spent hours just holding our newborn – he slept best when he was being held. She was just loving and peaceful and beautiful with our son. She just took such good care of Cole and was so loving and warm with him. We couldn’t have asked for anything else.

Nancy is also very knowledgeable regarding babies and newborn care.  Anything you need to know re: care and sleep training, etc., Nancy knows. She’s a professional – and she’s a devoted, loving, caretaker of babies. She’s just a really wonderful, good person.  My fingers are crossed that Nancy will be available to work with us again when we have our next baby. If you get to work with Nancy, you will be very lucky.

Nancy worked with our 6-week old for a couple days after I was struggling as a first-time mom of a colicky baby. She is a wonderful and patient teacher and I highly recommend her to any parents needing some support at home. I wish I knew about Nancy before so I could have hired her right after my delivery.

I am very happy with Nancy Rodriguez' placenta encapsulation services.  I gave birth to twins on April 14, 2015 and have been taking the capsules regularly since then. I feel great , have lots of energy and had no postpartum depression or other issues. Also my twins were premature and I believe the placenta helped my milk come in sooner. Nancy was great and I would highly recommend her to anyone wanting this amazing benefit to motherhood!

I cannot recommend Nancy enough! From the very first time we met I knew she would be a great fit with our family. Nancy was quick to make us all comfortable which made me be able to get much needed rest.  My youngest was eight when I brought the twins home and I had conveniently forgot how exhausted you get, especially with two. Nancy brought a ton of experience, knowledge and advice to the table but always in the most gentle and caring way. She nurtured both me and the boys during their first few months of life and for that I will always be grateful. Having her help was worth every penny.

Four months ago I had a baby while completing my first semester as a fulltime student, in addition to being a mother of a 5-year-old. My husband and I hired Nancy thinking we would have a little extra help with the baby, maybe sleep a couple extra hours a night and reduce our school and work stress somewhat with a newborn. We had no idea how incredibly helpful Nancy would be on all fronts! Not only was she a complete baby whisperer with our newborn, who struggles with reflux, but she completely charmed our 5-year-old and was immensely helpful in other ways. She taught me strategies for helping the baby sleep more soundly and for longer periods of time, she explained how babies feel and think in the first few weeks of life, and she made our lives easier every night by cleaning all of the baby's gear--bottles, pumping equipment, clothes, etc. She's amazing! She has an incredibly calm, kind energy to her that our newborn seemed to pick up on right away. Every time Nancy picked him up he would stop fussing and settle into her arms. She really has a touch few people do. She also cooked for us multiple times (the food was phenomenal!) and offered many times to give me a massage (I'm a fool for not taking her up on it). In short, Nancy was an astounding baby nurse/doula. I wouldn't hesitate to hire her again!! Our son is better for it--and so are his more rested parents. : )

Nancy is amazing! She was enthusiastically recommended by two friends with very high standards, and she absolutely exceeded them.  Nancy absolutely loves her work and it shows.  She took incredible care of my newborn son and taught my husband and me so much along the way.  I cannot think of a better way to start parenthood than with Nancy by my side!

Nancy started taking care of my baby girl when my baby was 6 weeks old.  Nancy was very professional, skilled, and kind.  She always arrived exactly on time, immediately washed her hands and took over all of the responsibilities of my baby girl.  She fed her, put her to sleep (sometimes for hours on her chest when baby girl refused to sleep in her bassinet), washed all bottles, did all her laundry and everything she did, she did perfectly - (Nancy is quite the perfectionist).  She knew how to calm my baby when she was fussy, she kept a detailed record of all feedings, all sleep, and all diaper changes.  Whenever I left the house, I knew that I didn't have to worry one bit about the safety or happiness of my baby.  I knew she was being taken care of well.  I can't  say enough good things about Nancy.  Above all her skills as a baby nurse, she is the nicest people you will ever meet.

Nancy worked with us as a night nurse caring for our newborn daughter Evy for the last two months.  This is our second child and second time we have been fortunate enough to work with Nancy.

I cannot recommend Nancy more highly.  She is an incredible care-giver and baby doula.  She is everything you would ever want in terms of someone to care for your baby.  Nancy is very experienced and knowledgeable.  She knows everything about babies and continue to update her expertise and education re: baby development and care.  She loves babies and knows how to care for them and provides all the love and care you would want for your child.

She is great at following detailed instructions if you have them on schedules, care preferences, milk storage and use, etc.  Or you can give her no instructions and she'll run the show flawlessly.

She is completely reliable and is never late; in fact, she is usually early.  She stays late and does many things that go above and beyond in her execution of the job.  She is an excellent and clear communicator and takes her job very seriously.

Nancy is a pleasant and kind person who is a pleasure to work with and to have in your home.

Most of all, Nancy showered our baby girl with love and kindness and all the care and nurturing that I would want our baby to enjoy in her first days.

I can't recommend Nancy highly enough. I am happy to speak by phone or email to answer additional questions as desired.

Nancy is a wonderful, knowledgeable and professional night time/day time doula.  She helped me a lot with my newborn baby boy.  As a new parent I didn't know much and has lots of questions.  She taught me how to care for the baby, swaddle, bath, change diapers etc.  Nancy had all answers to my many questions about my son's well being and development.  She knows a lot and have tons of experience.  Plus she is an easy to work with person and always on time.  Highly recommend!!!!!

Nancy is incredible!  She taught me how to take care of my newborn son when I was clueless.  When I found out I was pregnant with my daughter I contacted her immediately.  I refer all my pregnant friends to her.  She makes having a newborn as stress-free as possible.  I can't recommend her more!

If it gives you any idea I literally have Nancy in my cell phone as- Nancy Angel Nurse.  From the minute we talked to Nancy it just felt right!  She joined us on our first night home with our precious daughter (without meeting her in person) and honestly she was sent from heaven and we couldn't have appreciated or love her anymore.  She has the most calming presence and was so knowledgeable.  Nancy made us feel so  much more secure.  She helped me with breastfeeding, bathing, swaddling, burping...I'll admit the first two weeks are the hardest and I don't know what I would have done without Nancy.  She really respected my wishes and taught me so much.  I highly recommend her to everyone I know!

Nancy was a LIFESAVER during the first few weeks postpartum.  Having her around made the first weeks of having a baby not so terrifying or crazy...She had our baby sleeping through the night at 6 weeks, and was amazingly helpful across the board.  She taught us so much about caring for him, and taught me so much about breastfeeding, but most importantly, she allowed us to get sleep so we could be better parents to him during the day!  I was so scared of being a first time mom and she made it all so much easier.  She was such a joy to work with and we miss her so much!

It would be impossible to overstate what kind, thoughtful, patient, compassionate presence Nancy brings to her work. As first time parents, of course we approached the experience of bringing our child home and caring for her with a mixture of anxiety and overwhelmedness. Neither of us have family within 1,000 miles, so we worried that we would alone and unable to manage during the crucial first few weeks of our child's life.

After a long hospital stay that included 6 nights at Cedars and our baby being in the NICU for 3 days, Nancy met us on our first day home. immediately made sure we felt comfortable and safe -- she taught us so much about patience with the baby, care for the baby, various techniques for feeding, breastfeeding, swaddling, shushing, nap time, bath time, etc. When we struggled, she supported us entirely, never once making us feel like we were behind or anywhere other than right where we should be in our growth as parents.

When I called Nancy's references before hiring her, the person I called said "Nancy is the best baby nurse in LA."  I'm a skeptical person, so of course I thought -- well, how would she know that? But after having Nancy in our home for a month, I have absolutely no doubt that is the case and I would say it to anyone who called me about her work.

Even though our child will not remember this first month, I feel like she will always benefit from the love and kindness Nancy brought to taking care of her. And my wife and I will certainly never forget it. Nancy will always be a part of our extended family -- I could not recommend her any more highly as a nurse for your child.

We just had our beautiful baby girl at the end of May. We are first time parents and Nancy came to the house the day we returned from the hospital. We were terrified, overwhelmed and feeling engulfed in the uncertainties of parenthood. Honestly we should have her come to the hospital to help out.

Having her around for the first month was a lifesaver. She helped us learn how to breast feed and pump for the baby so we could get some much needed sleep. She taught us how to use a swaddle, she helped organize the nursery and set up the baby cams. She washed the baby bottles and washed the baby's clothes. She taught us about sleep training and had answers to all our questions.

She was available whenever we needed and was flexible with her hours. She  showed up on time and always had an awesome attitude. She also did extra little things that can't be calculated: on her first day she brought us an amazing gift with a baby shirt that said "Daddies first Fathers day" and on her last day at the house she brought a frame painting her son had drawn. She just went the extra mile.

Also super important OUR DOG LOVED HER.

Nancy is incredible!  Of all the night doulas that we worked with, she was the most kind, caring, professional, etc.  As a new mom to twins, I needed to TRUST that my babies were in good hands while I tried to get rest for the day ahead.  And I can say without question that I trusted Nancy to fully to take care of my precious babies, which is the highest of testaments for a new mom! She is detail oriented, organized, caring, proactive and excellent communicator. Strongly recommend including Nancy as part of your extended family for any mom looking for post partum support!

Nancy was our night nurse for both our sons who are currently two and 5 months. She was with us 6 weeks for the first and 3 months or the second. All I can say is she a magician, a baby whisperer. She genuinely loves babies with all her heart and cares for our babies when we need a date night because our boys love her so much. We also have her come with us when we travel with the babies because she is has such a strong bond with our kids. Our two year old asks for her. We trust her with everything and implicitly. She is the best decision we made as new parents. She taught me and my husband how to care for newborns better than any class or video. We only wish we had the foresight to book her for 3 months with the first because she books up very quickly so my only advice is to call her as soon as you are pregnant!! Nancy we love you!!
